We held our Year 8 Leavers farewell last week with much fun, laughter and aroha. It was a lovely occasion to celebrate the Year 8 classes with their whānau and staff to reflect on the past and look forward to the future. Our huge thanks to all the Māia teachers - Mrs Munn, Miss Croft and Mr Pearce for all their care and support of Year 8 in 2025 and thank you to Mrs Munn, our Associate Principal, who organised and MCed this fabulous evening.
On Monday our Senior Kapa Haka group farewelled our Year 8s with a moving performance after the final assembly.

Last week we held our annual Book Week at Kelburn - it was fantastic week of celebrating everything reading - we had many fun activities for the tamariki - from staff Mystery readers to classes, making bookmarks, guessing the favourite book characters of kaiako, literacy quizzes and so much more. The Book Parade was a terrific way to cap off the Book Week Celebrations on Friday - so colourful and the tamariki enjoyed this very much!

A huge thank you to our wonderful Library team - Katharina Vautier, Libya Munn, Rebekah Rasmussen, Marianne Blair, and Andrea Molloy - for organising such a fun, interactive and enjoyable Te wiki ō Pukapuka – Book Week!
