🏀 CSW JUNIOR BASKETBALL CHAMPIONS 🏀

Our Junior A team has taken out the CSW Junior Basketball title, defeating Wellington East Girls’ College in a thriller, decided by just one goal 72 - 71. Congratulations Team!👏

A massive congratulations to our Senior A Netball Team, who brought home the trophy at the CSW Senior Netball Tournament yesterday at Ākau Tangi🥇

After taking solid wins against Hutt Valley High School and Whitby Collegiate in pool play, the team powered through Sacred Heart College in the quarters, dug incredibly deep to beat Queen Margaret College, and kept cool heads to claim the final 16-11 against Scots College!

The girls put on a masterclass in skill, grit, and heart, but above all, the way they lifted each other up throughout the entire tournament was true championship quality 🙌

We couldn't have done this without our amazing management and coaching team - Pelesa, Gail, and Renee. Thank you for all you do to guide and support our team! And to our friends and whānau, thank you for backing our girls every step of the way 🖤🩶

🏆 Sacred Heart Sports Exchange 2026 🏆

Last week, we were thrilled to host Sacred Heart for our annual sports exchange!

With a record ten teams competing this year across netball, basketball, badminton, football, hockey, and rugby, it was a brilliant day of high-energy play, where top-tier athleticism went hand-in-hand with fantastic school spirit and camaraderie!

An absolute massive shoutout to our athletes - SMC took home the win in 8 out of the 10 fixtures 🙌

Congratulations to our Volunteer of the Month for June - Gail Saipani!

My, my, what does this willing wonder woman NOT do is the question… her generous volunteering means she dons many hats. She's dutifully there on Pulse Game Days as team manager. She's St Mary's College Wellington Netball Coordinator, Senior A team manager & Senior B team coach gifting her time on Saturdays & Monday RSSL, organising team fundraising, front-footing trial prep & player communication. She's P.I.C Netball Club 1 team manager & stat-keeper. She's Netball Wellington Centre's Elected Board member & U18 Black rep team manager. Plus she's on committees outside netball too. To top it all off, Gail juggles full time work as well. She’s all things to all people, giving so much yet expects nothing in return and all with a smile on her face. Mighty thanks to you Gail! 🙌

🏊 CSW Swimming Championships 🏊

A massive well done to our talented swimmers who competed at the CSW Swimming Championships at Te Ngaengae Pool in Lower Hutt last week: Ella Hanley (Year 13), Charlotte Hanley (Year 10), Kyani Russell-Lia (Year 10), Lily Childs (Year 10), Izzy Cato (Year 9), and Courtney Higham (Year 9).

We had some outstanding individual and team results on the day:

Ella Hanley
🥈 2nd in the 50m Breaststroke (36.40s)
🥉 3rd in the 100m Medley (1:10.47)
🥉 3rd in the 100m Butterfly (1:32.67)
🏅 4th in the 50m Butterfly (31.23s)

Lily Childs
🌟Showed great form in the Backstroke events, placing 6th in both the 50m (37.67s) and 100m (1:21.80) races.

Junior Relay Team
✨Charlotte, Kyani, Izzy, and Courtney teamed up for a fantastic swim in the 200m Freestyle Relay, finishing 5th overall with a time of 2:13.50.

Swapping our school black and white for the Pulse black and yellow, we couldn't be prouder of Fo'i Lemana (Year 13), Phoenix Schwalger (2024), Erana Ngarimu (2022) and Ainsleyana Puleiata (2018).
