In 2016 our photography club students were involved in the exhibition "InstaGran". These beautiful photos were never collected afterwards and have been in our care since then....but we would just love to get them back home. Please get in touch if they belong to you!

We thought a few of you would appreciate this win! Our boys just took out the Murray Jones Shield retaining the title for the first time in 19 years, after a hard-fought battle with Orewa College, winning 23-13 🥳

Over Labour weekend, about 200 alumni got together for an informal celebration to recognise 160 years of education in our district, and sixty years since WDHS became known as Mahurangi College. Organised by alumni Dave Parker who shared his wish for all decade classes to get together individually, and each year as a group, to keep friendships going and to help maintain our history. He also encouraged former pupils to plan for and to hold future reunions every 10 years. For anyone interested in that idea, our next big milestone will be in 2032 which will mark 70 years of Mahurangi College and 170 years of education in the district :)

Alumni Anahera Morehu has been appointed to the role of chief archivist at Te Rua Mahara o te Kāwanatanga Archives NZ. In doing so she has made history. The role includes guardianship of important national documents, including the Declaration of Independence, the Treaty of Waitangi and the Women’s Suffrage Petition.

Anahera Morehu's appointment to the permanent role of chief archivist at Archives New Zealand, guarding the most important national documents, marks a first for the country.
