There's only two weeks left of the Mathsminds term and we have covered a number of topics....Measurement, Algebra, Numeracy...Not to mention completing the Otago University Maths Problem Solving challenge. It's been great to see students applying their improved Mathematical, logic, and reasoning skills to solve these challenges.

With the arrival of a new term it's also time to acknowledge the achievements of the last one. I'm stoked to see School 'High Achiever Awards' in Maths presented to all of Mathsminds 2023 Year 9 students. Congratulations guys and gals, your perserverance and hard work has been worth it.

On to 2024: Mathsminds lessons begin on the 7th of February.

Term 4 Maths Support: begins Monday the 9th of October. There is still six weeks until NCEA exams, enough time to sharpen Maths skills before the final exams.
If your child has struggled with Maths this year, then 8 weeks of tuition may be all that's needed to get them feeling better about Maths before 2024.
We have places for new students so please contact us if you'd like more information or want to ENROL.

And the Winner is .............. our construction superstar: Milo Adams, whose bridge held 54kg and counting. The Mathsminds 'Popsicle Stick' bridge building competition was part of our Geometry topic: use the strongest shape to construct a bridge to hold the heaviest weight. Prize: a triangular prism (aka Toblerone chocolate!)

Wednesday 26 April is the start of another term for Mathsminds. Looking forward to seeing the students refreshed and energised from the holidays. I still have places for new students, so get in touch if your child requires Maths support in Term 2. Note: there are no classes on Monday the 24th and Tuesday the 25th (Anzac Day) of April.

Hi everyone,
just a reminder Term 2 Mathsminds begins on Monday the 2nd of May.
With less distractions than the summer terms, the winter terms are a great time to have some Maths coaching.
We're excited to be trialling the 'Education Perfect' online platform this term. This is going to be another 'tool in the arsenal' to lift student achievement in Maths.
