Lets get ready to Maths!!! The yr6-8s had a great morning at the South Otago Mathalon in Balclutha on Thursday - they all maths'ed amazingly. A super well done to the Speedy Smarts who came third equal in the Year 7 competition! Amazing effort!

ROAD CLOSURE
Just a reminder that the railway crossing on Waiwera Station Road (entering Waiwera South) will be closed tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday. August 21st-23rd. And then again on September 7th-8th.

Detour Options into Waiwera South (both bring you in via Anderson Road behind the school):
Option 1: Waiwera Gorge Road ➡️ Hillfoot Road ➡️ Anderson Road
Option 2: Kaihiku Road ➡️ The Cap ➡️ Hillfoot Road ➡️ Anderson Road

A huge congratulations to the 12 students who competed at the SOPSSA Cross Country Champs this afternoon at Clinton. Everyone ran so well. We had some very exhausted athletes at the end!!! An extra special, and massive congrats to Luke and Harrison who both won their respective races!! A super achievement for you both! All that training paid off.
Apologies to the girls for lack of photos - my finish line job meant I couldn't get photos of you!!!

After a chilly start to the day, we had a fantastic time at the Small Schools' Cross Country! Congratulations to all of our amazing children for their outstanding effort, determination, and positive attitudes. A huge thank you to Clinton School for hosting another wonderful event—it is always a highlight of Term 3!

I great idea if anyone is wanting some more running/coaching before Cross Country.

Get ready to run! Primary school cross country sessions begin tomorrow Wednesday 22 July, 4:30pm-5:15pm at the South Otago Motorcycle Track, Glasgow Street Balclutha.

All tamariki are welcome, come along, have some fun, and build your cross country skills! and confidence. On every Wednesday through to early September.

Here are a few photos from our performance at the Puaka Matariki Iwikatea festival yesterday. Our children were brilliant! For such a wee school, we all worked so well together and it's fabulous when so much hard work comes to fruition. A massive thank you to Matua Timikuka for teaching our students and the staff for your work in preparing them for their performance.
