Hey Whanau, Christmas is rapidly approaching, the Little Ants Christmas party will be on Sunday the 15th of dec, from 9.30 till 11.30.

There will be food, activities entertainment for the Tamariki and of course Santa. pop it in your calendars!

I will be putting out a form this week for you to let us know when your children will be attending or if you will be away over the Christmas holidays.

The photos should be in in the next week or two, and we have almost completed the calendar art, so those will be out for order next week.

Hi Everyone, because we have reduced staffing and children attending over the two weeks of Christmas and New year, we will be closing at 5pm, over those 6 days.

Just a reminder the centre Christmas party is on the 17th of December, I have put a sheet in the foyer for you to indicate if your attending etc. I have also put a sheet out for holiday plans, if you could let us know when your child will be in or on holiday over the December/ Jan months.

Hi everyone

So we have a situation on our hands.. due to a huge amount of illness, (including 2 hospitalisations). we are so short staffed tomorrow I'm considering closing the centre. Instead I'm asking if any of you are off with your children.. and are able to keep your school children at home. Please let me know, also we will be closing the centre at 5 tomorrow to help condense the staff we do have.

Hi everyone, so we have a few contagious bugs in the community at the moment. Scarlet fever is doing the rounds, we have two children who were unwell over the weekend who are being tested currently. The symptoms are quite varied but it does start with high Temps can go to a cough, can have vomiting and a rash. It is easily treated by antibiotics. See attached link for information. If your child has any of these symptoms please keep them away, and get checked by doctor.

There is also impetigo also known as school sores in the community, several schools have sent home notices this week. If your child has any sores that look suspicious and aren't healing please get them checked.

Scarlet fever is a condition caused by Streptococcus A bacteria. It affects people with recent strep throat infection or school sores that are caused by the same bacteria.

Hey everyone our carpark is quite flooded, so wear gumboots, or loose your shoes before you get out of your car. We have left the staff parks either side of front door free for parent pick up today so you wont have so far to wade in.

Due to teacher only day, and illness we are are very short staffed today. If you are home with your school children, or can keep your child home today please do, so we can keep the centre open for those who can't. Please let the centre know if you can keep your children home, so we can ensure we can meet centre ratios today, and staff can have breaks.
