Today we pause to remember and reflect on ANZAC Day

At our centre, we talk with tamariki about kindness, courage, the importance of partnership and helping others.

We remember those who served and think about how we can care for one another in our everyday lives.

We all had a wonderful time last week celebrating our First Annual Beep Beep! Day here at The Cottage.
We learnt all about holding hands with an adult when crossing the road, finding a safe place to cross the road, and always being safe when travelling in a car by sitting in a car seat.

Tomorrow, Tues 18th of November we have our first annual Beep Beep! day here at The Cottage.

The main aim of a Beep Beep! Day is to help tamariki to start learning the basics of road safety through fun activities, and to raise awareness among parents and the local community about protecting tamariki on roads.

We will be educating tamariki about road safety and gave them basic messages about the dangers of traffic.
We will discuss the importance of holding hands with a grown up when walking near roads, finding safe places to cross the road and always sitting in a car seat when travelling by car.
