Sincere Condolences

It is with great sadness that we inform our New Lynn School community of the passing of Thomas Hoey, a valued member of our school whānau.
Thomas made a significant contribution to the life of New Lynn School over many years. He generously supported and helped organise the Breakfast Club, ensuring many of our students started their day with a warm meal and a welcoming environment. He also served as a member of the Board of Trustees on a previous board, where he gave his time and commitment to supporting the governance and direction of our school.
Thomas was also well known to many of our students through his soccer coaching, where he shared his passion for sport and encouraged teamwork, participation, and confidence in our young people.
We are deeply grateful for the care, energy, and generosity Thomas showed towards our school community. His contribution to New Lynn School and the children he supported will be remembered with appreciation.
Our thoughts and condolences are with his family and loved ones at this difficult time.
Thomas’s funeral will be held on Wednesday 11 March at Morrisons Funeral Home, Universal Drive, Henderson, Auckland.
