Newsletter No. 28

Fiona was not involved in more than social sport at college as it was in her academic studies where she excelled.  She was named as College Dux in her final year 2006 and also completed her Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award that year.

Today we had the privilege of inducting former student and Olympian Fiona Bourke (2002-2006) into the Central Hawke's Bay College Hall of Honour.

One of her messages was "Don't be afraid to give things a go. At first you may fail, but you may also succeed. You wont know unless you try."

Our Senior Boys Gold Basketball Team has achieved something incredibly special - they have qualified for the National Secondary Schools Basketball Tournament in Palmerston North, beginning 28 September 2026 - and we need your help to get there!!

Girls Hockey photos from Friday at Tournament Week. a 3 - 1 loss to Nga Tawa, but an outsdtanding effort from the team. Well done to you all players and your support team, management, and coach. Already looking forward to 2027 Toruanment Week with this young team.

Sports Prizegivings – Next Week

Whānau and caregivers are warmly invited to celebrate the achievements and successes of our students at their respective sports prizegivings next week.

📍 Please take note of the different venues noted against the sport. All students are expected to wear number ones, or their best school uniform. All start at 6pm.

We look forward to celebrating our students and their sporting achievements with you! 👏

2027 Year 9 Enrolments

Enrolments are now open for our 2027 Year 9 students!

To help us prepare for next year, we ask that enrolments are completed as soon as possible — ideally before Orientation Days begin in Week 6, Term 4.
