We had a fantastic day at the Zones Cross Country in Maungaturoto. Mrs Herbert who went with the team was so proud of all of the Waipuians who showed resilience and determination. So many of our team came over the finish line having given it their all with nothing left in the tank. Well done to the many Waipu tamariki who came in the top 4 in their races. Go Waipu!

What an awesome colour run! We had so much fun. Huge thanks to Mrs Hoddle for all of her organising, to our parent helpers & whānau who came along to support. Thanks also to our fabulous fire brigade who managed time in their busy day to hose off the troops.

2027 Out Of Zone Enrolment Applications - please pass onto friends and family who may be interested.

The Waipu Primary School Board of Trustees has determined that a limited number of places are available for students living outside our newly established Home Zone.

For the beginning of 2027, we welcome applications for a total of up to 20 placements - across any year level.

Enrolment Timelines & Ballots

If the number of out-of-zone applications exceeds our 20 available spaces, selection will be made via a supervised ballot following the legislative priority order outlined in our Enrolment Scheme. Parents will be notified of the outcome within three school days of any ballot.

Enrolment Phase: 2027 Applications Open - August 2026

Application Deadline: Wednesday 14th October 2026

Ballot Date (If Required): Wednesday 21st October 2026

Envisioned Commencement: Term 1 2027 (or if turning 5, inline with cohort entry dates during the year).

Thank you to the team at Logan MacLean - we loved visiting your cool cafe on the Principal's outing this week. 2 of our students came along because they have 100% attendance this term & 2 were selected from our assembly certificate draw. We are looking forward to heading down to Country Bake Waipu in a fortnight's time.

Thanks to everyone who was able to come along to our competitive cross country event today at domain in front of the Nova Scotia subdivision. It was a great venue and our kids enjoyed being off site running in some mud - didn't the runners do super well!! Thank you to the neighbours and home owners who live in the area.
