We're excited to launch our new Primary School Netball League, giving our tamariki the opportunity to play netball right here in their own backyard.

Two grades:
🏐Years 1-3
🏐Years 4-6

Starting on Saturday 19 September, and will run for 5 weeks.

This league is designed to help young players:
✅ Develop their netball skills
✅ Stay active
✅ Build confidence and teamwork
✅ Have fun in a supportive environment

Best of all, it's completely FREE, in our own backyard, Wainuiomata High School courts, making it accessible for all tamariki who would like to participate.

Ngā mihi nui to Nuku Ora - an active Wellington region for their continued support. Their contribution has helped make this free league possible, ensuring our tamariki can continue to play, grow their skills, and stay active in a fun and positive environment.

Register using the link below, and we'll be in touch with each whānau directly with more details about the league

Zealandia & Tree Planting Adventures!

Despite the chilly weather this week, our awesome tamariki wrapped up warm and headed outdoors! Our Year 3 & 4 students had a wonderful time exploring the wonders of Zealandia, while 42 of our Year 5 & 6's did an incredible job planting over 160 trees to help enhance the Wainuiomata Regional Park.

A huge thank you to all the amazing parent volunteers who made these trips possible, and to Vlad at Wainuiomata Regional Park for providing this fantastic opportunity once again.

Mark Your Calendars: Friday, 14 August is the rescheduled date for Hihi and Pīwakawaka to head off on their Zealandia trip!

Year 5 & 6 Cycle Training

This week, our Year 5 and 6 students wrapped up their cycle training courses!

Our Year 5 cyclists completed Grade 1, focusing on essential skills like balance, control, hand signals, and staying aware of hazards. Building on what they learned last year, our Year 6 students took on Grade 2, taking their skills onto our local roads. Practising hazard identification, turning into side streets, and passing parked cars alongside real traffic was an invaluable experience for them.

A huge thank you to the Bikes in Schools team for delivering such a fantastic programme. We’re already looking forward to having them back at Konini on Wednesday 16 September for our Year 6 "Ride the Community" cycle to Arakura
