Because who doesn't like making potions.

Using natural materials which can often be found within your everyday sight and mixing them with a little bit of water, colour and imagination, tamariki are provided with endless possibilities of learning.

From building upon their existing mathematical knowldge right through to strengthen their fine motor skills. With the right tools, kaiako guidance and unhurried time there is magic and learning in everything.

Lots of different things happening at the centre lately. No two days are ever the same. From celebrating the difficult cultures we have, right through to practicing strengthening our fine motor skills to prepare the tamariki for school reddines.

Next week is Matariki. Tamariki and kaiako have been busy preparing different ways to celebrate this special event. Check back next week for some photos

Open ended pay provides lots of different opportunities for children's creativity to shine.

Our busy 4 year old boys carefully created this obstacle course which challenged them individually to move their bodies in different ways to complete it confidently. With a little guidance from a kaiako to ensure the course was safe for all, the 4 year olds set to work moving resources, engaging in conversations with each other and learning bout compromising and listening to each other.

Checkout one of our amazing whanau and 2 friends who raced the Bathurst 6 hour at Mt Panorama. They each did a 2 hour session in the car. There were 73 cars started the race and their team finished up 23rd overall and 2nd in class, a huge achievement for our little all kiwi team to get on the podium at such an iconic track.
