Not only did Steve Joll come to read to our tamariki, Clifford the Big, Red Dog also came to visit! What a treat! He may make an appearance at our book character parade on Friday. (This will be at 11.15 am, all welcome). Tomorrow we have Elaine Bickell, a well known author, come to visit all classes. Don't forget our Book Fair is open this afternoon from 2.30 pm to 4 pm and open for a late night tomorrow until 7 pm for those who don't get back to the valley until late. What a fantastic Book Week!

A huge thank you to everyone who supported us in the recent Queensgate 10K Giveaway. Unfortunately we did not win however we still receive $2,500 to go towards our new junior playground.
We know we had a lot of support from our school community and the wider community and for that we are very grateful and appreciative - ngā mihi!

Steve Joll from The Breeze Wellington (94.1 & 98.5FM) helped us celebrate Book Week by reading to our tamariki today. He has been a regular visitor during book week every year and always has an engaging manner that encourages students to discover the 'magic' in books. He also took the time to ask a few questions and tomorrow morning (Thursday morning) you might hear some of our students sharing their opinions on his radio show (between 7:00am and 7:30am).

Today our classes started visiting the Book Fair in the school library! The Book Fair is open for whānau this afternoon from 2.30 pm. Tomorrow we welcome Steve Joll, radio broadcaster from The Breeze as a celebrity storyteller for the Teina and Tuakana syndicates, and an extra special character will be reading to Pakupaku. On Thursday we have a well known author, Elaine Bickell, visiting our school (some of her books are even in the Book Fair!) and don't forget your costume for Friday!
