Come along to our sessions on Thursday and Friday, 9:00am to 12:00pm.

Bring your curiosity, creativity, and children aged 0-6 years for a fun morning of play and learning. As a bonus, adults can enjoy connection, conversation, and coffee while the tamariki explore.

Term 3 is here, and we're ready for another fantastic term of play, learning, and connection!

Playcentre is a great place for children aged 0-6 years to explore, create, and learn through play while parents and caregivers build friendships and connect with local whānau.

Join us on Thursdays and Fridays, 9:00am-12:00pm. Every session is unique, with new opportunities for discovery and fun.

As Term 2 draws to a close and we acknowledge Matariki, the Māori New Year, it is a special time to reflect on the past, celebrate the present, and look ahead to the future with hope and gratitude. Matariki reminds us of the importance of whānau, community, and coming together to support one another.

As we prepare for Term 3, we are excited to welcome both new and returning whānau. We will open for our first session of the term on Thursday 23 July, and would like to extend a warm invitation to all whānau within our community and beyond to come and join us.

We wish everyone a safe, happy, and restful break. May this Matariki bring opportunities to reconnect, reflect, and create special memories with your loved ones.

Today in 1941, as Aotearoa prepared to remember the men who went to war, a group of mothers in Karori, Wellington, did something quietly extraordinary.
Born of necessity, they created a place where parents and tamariki could learn together, that would quietly outlast the war and grow across Aotearoa.
Eighty-five years later, we’re still here, and still playing, learning, and growing together – one of the most enduring ideas in New Zealand’s history.
Join us on our journey over the coming year as we share the stories of our rural communities, bicultural foundations, the generations of women who built the movement, and our vision for the next 85 years.
