Another wonderful Liturgy at Lister Home, alongside Jeanie. The older students shared their PowerPoint about Saint Mary MacKillop and the younger children showed off their artwork of her. Well done to all the students, your behaviour was amazing! šŸ‘ šŸ‘ Check out the photos at the end to see how well our Seniors care for our younger students ... just a bit cute! šŸ˜

Today we were delighted to host students and staff from our sister Catholic schools in Temuka, Fairlie and Pleasant Point to celebrate the Feast Day of St Mary MacKillop.

The day began with a beautiful liturgy at the Basilica, followed by food, fellowship and plenty of opportunities for our students to connect, have fun and form new friendships.

It was a wonderful celebration of Catholic education and the strong connections between our schools. Huge thanks to our behind the scenes staff and helpers, and to our school whānau who provided morning tea. You made the day so special. Thanks also to our visiting schools for joining us at St Patrick’s Waimate. šŸ’™

Well done to our students who took part in Jubilate at the Basilica in Timaru last night.

Jubilate brings together students from Catholic schools across our region to sing as one choir in a celebration of faith and music.

Thank you to the organisers, staff, and whānau who helped make the evening possible, and a special thanks to Diocesan Music Director Ken Joblin for his leadership and support.

Our Room 1 students have been exploring the fascinating science theme of energy!

We investigated different types of energy, discovered where our electricity comes from, and learned about the important role renewable energy plays in our future.

To finish their learning, the class followed the design process to research, plan, design, and build our own wind turbines. It was fantastic to see heaps of creativity, problem-solving, and perseverance in action. The real test came when we connected our turbines to the mini town—the stronger the design, the more lights we were able to power up!

A huge thank you to The Wonder Project for providing this amazing hands-on learning resource.

Welcome to our two new students, Jeizh and Marchus! It's great to be all together again. Happy term 3🤩
