Our sessions are
-Monday and Wednesday 9 am-12pm
-Tuesday and Thursday 9am-1pm

We are situated close to the town centre and have a fabulous refurbished indoor area and an amazing outdoor space for the children to play, create and get messy. Did you know Playcentre offers mixed aged sessions for chi

ldren from birth to six years? This makes us different from other early childhood institutions, which separate children into age groups. If you have a baby and an active toddler it is a wonderful, safe environment, where both children can be accommodated for. Run co-operatively by parents, Playcentre emphasises child initiated play. It also runs adult education for parents that acknowledges family commitments and obligations, and includes both formal and informal education opportunities. Everyone is entitled to 3 FREE visits, so come and check us out!

Today our tamariki were searching for salt dough fossils. See below for recipe if you want to try at home!

• Recipe: A standard mix is 2 cups flour, 1 cup salt, and 1 cup water.
• Drying: You can air dry for 24-48 hours or bake at a low temperature (90°C) for 2-3 hours until hard.
