And now for something completely different! Osaka!!
We had a few G&T and local treats on the canal (Dotonbori) watching the boats. Played tourist and rode the Ferris wheel for a view of the city (well one of 5 actually, cos one obviously won’t do it).
And wandered the little alley ways which made it hard to believe we could be in a big city.

We got to wear our yukata around this resort in Kurama. One member of the group felt a little conspicuous in her robe wandering off to the onsen (hot pools… a whole other experience!)

Another trail we will be walking is from Kurama, where we stay in a beautiful Mountain onsen retreat (hotpools and traditional Japanese rooms).
We walk to Kibune, which has some unique cafes over the water I hope to try.

Less than 3 weeks to go until we fly out on our Japan Tour…. Personally this is one of the things I’m most excited about...

Less than 3 weeks to go until we fly out on our Japan Tour…. Personally this is one of the things I’m most excited about seeing - the bamboo forest walk.
I’ll update here with some of the things we have planned and then you can see the real thing when we get there!
