🎄 BREAKING NEWS:
With Lisa still in England looking after her mum, I have been officially (self) appointed Acting Director of Christmas Tree Operations.

If you know Lisa and her beautiful decorating and artistic flair - as well as time and attention she invests in presenting a beautiful tree each year you will know this is a big responsibility for me.

When Lisa decorates she mentions vague amorphous things like themes, symmetry, colour codes, aesthetic cohesion and balance. I’m not sure what those mean, but I figure I’m up to it. Lisa will have enough to do when she gets home so having the tree done will be a blessing. I mean who knew how dirty a house can get.

Anyway back to the tree. I’ve seen a few beautifully decorated trees over the years, and watched Lisa and some people on youtube (naturally at x1.75 speed, if you know me - and not to the end as I get the gist quickly) so it should be a cinch. How hard can it be?

My big question is: What colour tinsel is in fashion this year?

I couldn’t find tinsel in our decorations box. Who doesn’t have tinsel? I thought it was a decorating stable. Like meat and potatoes in a meal.

Well, Lisa will definitely fix it when she’s home — and probably fix me while she’s at it. 😂

But until then, it’s just me, a few boxes of decorations, and zero adult supervision. Wish us luck.
