Today at Wairere school we had Tori Moorby (past pupil) come to talk to our students about winning silver in the women's javelin at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
She shared with us the importance of persistence and patience in competitive sport.
Tori answered many questions from our students and spoke about fond memories of attending Wairere School as a child.
We found her inspirational and she even let everybody pass around her medal!
