Due to significant staff illness across our school, we are currently unable to maintain required supervision and operational ratios. On health and safety grounds, we will roster home the following year levels for the next three days from Friday 4 September until Tuesday 8 September.

Friday 4 September: Year 12
Monday 7 September: Year 11
Tuesday 8 September: Year 13

In assessing this, we prioritised the following school operations over the next three days:

School Operations Over the Next Three Days:
· Learning at Home: Students rostered should not come to school. Coursework and learning tasks will be accessible online via Google Classroom by 9:00am on the day.
· School Reopening: We intend to resume normal onsite instruction by Wednesday 9 September. We will confirm this via various communication channels by 4:00pm on Tuesday 8 September.

We appreciate that this creates disruption for families, but maintaining a safe physical and learning environment remains our priority. Thank you for your support and understanding. Over the last term we have had up to 25% student absence due to sickness and now staff are significantly affected.

We want you to bring your house colours and participate in this event, which focuses on healthy habits. You will go to your whanau class first and then come along with your teacher and have some fun! There are house points up for grabs!
