International Orientation has been lots of fun, yesterday we visited Kaitoke with all of our Kiwi buddies. Beautiful bush walks, swimming in the river, feeding the eels, and visiting the Lord of The Rings Rivendel filming location were all part of the experience as everyone got to know each other.

We rounded out our end of year programme with a fun Maori Cultural day in Te Manawa, our Marae at Upper Hutt College. The students learned flax weaving, Rakau stick games and Poi and there were some pretty competitive moments amongst all the fun!

There is nothing more quintessentially Kiwi than hanging out at the beach. Our Upper Hutt College International students are enjoying their camp at Foxton Beach; swimming, kayaking, body boarding and enjoying the campfire. Fish and chip dinner at the Bach must always be followed by card games - it's an unwritten New Zealand summer rule!
