💛 A HUGE thank you to our amazing local businesses! 💛

We want to say a massive thank you to all of the incredible businesses who have generously donated towards our raffle. Your support means so much to our kindergarten and helps us continue to provide wonderful opportunities and resources for our tamariki. 🥰

A very special thank you also goes to Hells Pizza for generously donating pizzas for our kindergarten disco! 🍕🎉

We are incredibly grateful for the generosity and support shown by our local community. It truly takes a village, and we feel so lucky to have such amazing businesses supporting our tamariki and our kindergarten. ❤️

We raised $1316.00.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! 🙏✨

We would like to say a massive thank you to all of our whānau who supported us in raising money and bringing awareness to such an important cause, the Cancer Society New Zealand. 🎗️

Your generosity, kindness and support have meant so much to us and have helped us contribute towards an organisation that does such valuable work supporting people and whānau affected by cancer.

Whether you donated, dressed in yellow, shared our message or simply helped spread awareness — every little bit counts, and we are so grateful for your support.

Together we raised $52.25!

Yesterday we said a very special goodbye to Linda-Lee, who has spent the last five weeks with us.

It has been great having you as part of our kindergarten whānau. Thank you for sharing your time and enthusiasm with us, and for the many special moments you have shared with our tamariki and teaching team.

Although we were sad to say goodbye, we are excited to see you return to your centre and continue your journey with all the learning and experiences you have gained along the way.

We will miss you, Linda-Lee!
Ngā mihi nui and all the very best for what comes next.

Yesterday our kindergarten tamariki enjoyed a fantastic excursion to Rimutaka Gym!

For our tamariki this was about so much more than having fun. The experience provided opportunities to develop gross motor skills, balance, coordination, strength and body awareness, while also building confidence as they explored the environment.

Excursions like this also support manaakitanga, whanaungatanga and independence as tamariki learn alongside their friends, take turns, listen to others and experience something new together.

A big thank you to Keri from Rimutaka Gym for welcoming us and providing such a wonderful opportunity for our tamariki to learn through active play! Also thank you to the whānau who joined us and had just as much fun — we can not do this without you.

We love it when our kindergarten philosophy icons — manu — come to visit us. It’s more than just a special moment; it’s a connection that is living, breathing and happening right before our eyes.

These meaningful encounters provide opportunities for tamariki to connect with Te Ao Māori, kaitiakitanga and the natural world, nurturing curiosity, wonder and a deeper sense of belonging.

What a beautiful reminder that our philosophy isn’t just something we talk about — it lives and breathes all around us. 🌿🪶✨

P.s. if anyone sees a kiwi in Tōtara Park, please take a photo and share with us.

📦 Box play has been popular over the past couple of days! Sometimes, all you need is an empty box to unlock a world of imagination. ✨

Through open-ended play, tamariki are using their creativity, problem-solving skills, communication and working theories as they turn the simplest of resources into something extraordinary.

One empty box… endless possibilities! 💭📦✨

A Huge Thank You 💛

A massive thank you to all our amazing whānau, friends and community who have supported our kindergarten fundraisers — whether you have purchased something, made a donation, shared our posts, or simply encouraged us along the way. 🥰

Your support is making a real difference for our tamariki!

We are so excited to share that we have been able to purchase new bikes for our tamariki 🚲❤️. These will provide so many opportunities for active play, developing co-ordination, māia -confidence, turn-taking, aumangwa- perseverance and, of course, plenty of fun!

Every dollar raised goes directly back into creating meaningful learning experiences and providing new resources for our tamariki.

We truly couldn't do it without your support. Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou katoa — thank you from the bottom of our hearts. 💕🌿

Our fundraising journey continues, and we are incredibly grateful to have such a supportive community behind us. Together, we are making a difference! 🥰🚲✨

Practical ideas to support focus, emotional regulation, confidence, and wellbeing
Simple ways to create environments where children feel understood, valued, and capable.
