Ngā tamariki have been very busy this week building and strengthening their relationships with both kaiako and their peers through play and everyday experiences. They have enjoyed spending time together, sharing ideas, taking turns, and working alongside one another in different areas of the learning environment.

Through their play, ngā tamariki have been developing their social skills, learning how to communicate with others, solve problems together, and show kindness and respect. They have been growing in confidence as they connect with their friends and form trusting relationships with kaiako, helping them to feel safe, supported, and valued.

It has been wonderful to see ngā tamariki engaging positively with others, creating friendships, and enjoying the many opportunities for learning and exploration throughout the week.

It was a privilege to welcome members of the Hurricanes Poua team to Busy Beez today. Ngā tamariki were very excited and waited patiently all morning for their arrival.

The players did not disappoint. They spent time with ngā tamariki during mat time, sharing stories, answering questions, and helping to create a fun and positive experience for everyone. After mat time everyone was outdoors where ngā tamariki enjoyed playing, exploring, and building connections with the players.

It was wonderful to see the smiles, excitement, and confidence of ngā tamariki as they spent time with these amazing role models. Opportunities like this help strengthen our connection with the wider community and show children the value of teamwork, perseverance, and supporting one another.

A huge thank you to the Hurricanes Poua players for taking the time to visit Busy Beez and create such special memories for our tamariki. We truly appreciate your kindness, energy, and willingness to connect with our tamariki. It was a day that will be remembered for a long time.

We are excited to share that one of our tamariki at Busy Beez has a special connection to the Hurricanes Poua rugby team. Her mum, Angel, is a player for the team!

This Thursday, Angel and some of her Hurricanes Poua teammates will be visiting Busy Beez to spend time with ngā tamariki. This will be a wonderful opportunity for the children to meet the players, learn about rugby, and celebrate women's sport.

If you would like to support Angel and the Hurricanes Poua team, they will be playing this Sunday at Maidstone Park. Kick-off is at 2.05pm.

We know the team would love to see plenty of support from our Busy Beez whānau.
