Located on a rear suburban site in “Old Wanaka” with neighbours in close proximity, the architecture responds carefully to its location, capturing views to northwest and across the lake to the southwest, while also maintaining privacy. A little (not tiny) house we have been working on in Aro Valley, Wellington.
Being two storeys, the house area is actually larger than the site it sits on in m2.
This project is a study in fitting the most amenity onto a very tight infill section, while using borrowed volume, height and strategically place windows to ensure it is still airy and light.
