Torbay Kindergarten

We recently hosted the Oneroa group at kindergarten. This is a group of local ECE and Primary professionals that meet a couple of times a term to learn, share and grow as teachers, to create successful transitions from ECE to primary. On this particular day all the ECE centres (including us)shared what they do in a play based setting to support emergent literacy and numeracy. It was a really insightful afternoon learning from one another.

Come to Kindy in Your Jammies Day!

Next week, on Tuesday and Friday, we will be celebrating our annual “Come to Kindy in Your Jammies Day.”

This is a special event we look forward to each year, as it gives us a chance to support our community and a wonderful cause.

If you are able, we kindly invite you to donate a new pair of pyjamas. A collection point will be available at Kindy, and all donations will be given to the Middlemore Foundation to help those in need.

Thank you for your continued kindness and support—we can’t wait to see everyone in their cosy jammies!

We recently had a photographer come and take updated photos of our environment and the people/ tamariki that make our Kindergarten come life.

We are proud of what we have created and what it means to be a part of the Torbay community.

We have 100% qualified teachers, a large natural outdoor space, quality resources and we follow a play based holistic curriculum.
