Our Uawa Badminton team has safely arrived at Otumoetai-Tauranga. Usual stop in Ohope kai tahi, then on the road again. We met the girls at our mansion, had a catch up and talk about their first day at the Mount. We even did a dummy run to the venue and Pak n save to get our bearings and how long it will take to get to where we need to be. Grocery shopping done as well. Boys are fed and now doing their journaling & going through their groups for apopo -which court and who they’re playing - are they hungry? Of course they are🤣always hungry😂 - thanks to Koka Cyn, our number 1 navigator “who said goodbye to Siri” hello google maps!!! - bed time 8.30 - we will be on the road at 6.50am in for a long “slay the day” the Uawa Way🙌 hei apopo whanau💙

Day 1 AIMS Games
We had such a good day today. We started our day nice and early, leaving our Accom at 8am, so we could go and watch some netball games. We got to watch Manutuke and TKKM o Ngati Kahungunu ki Te Wairoa, before we got ready for our game. We didn’t get the win today, but we did achieve our goals. We also meet up with the Badminton crew at their accom. Now at ours, for spas and dinner.
