Another great day delivering our Coordinated Incident Management Systems (CIMS) training 👏

Throughout this course, we explore the key CIMS roles and how effective coordination supports strong incident response - especially in challenging situations such as severe weather events 🌧️🌪️

Understanding how these roles work together is essential for clear communication, sound decision-making, and keeping people safe when it matters most.

With high-risk workplaces facing increasingly unpredictable weather events and other potential incidents, having confidence in structured incident management is more important than ever. In the critical early stages of an incident, how well prepared would your team be to respond and manage the situation until further help arrives? Today our Managing Director was back doing what he does best - delivering our Breathing Apparatus in the Workplace course.

It’s one thing to lead a team, but another to stay hands-on, in the training room, and actively sharing knowledge and experience.

A great reminder that strong leadership isn’t just about direction - it’s about staying connected to the work and leading by example.

It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the peaceful passing of Arthur Hiscock.

Arthur was a respected colleague and long-standing friend of Industry Training Works, having supported our team since the company’s inception with his expertise, sound judgement, and quiet dedication. He made a lasting contribution to our organisation and will be greatly missed.

Our sincere condolences are with Arthur’s family and loved ones at this time.

HISCOCK, Arthur Harold, Peacefully on the 23rd January 2026 after a short illness; aged 68 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Erica. "Never gone till forgotten"
According to Arthurs wishes a private cremation has taken place, and a gathering of remembrance will be held at the Tokoroa Club, Chambers Street, on Saturday 7th March from 2p.m.
