Our preschool tamariki have really enjoyed working together on a collaborative art project.🎨🖌

Their kaiako put up a large piece of paper on the outdoor wall and provided paint and paintbrushes for the tamariki to explore. Some chose to use the paintbrushes, while others got stuck in using their hands and fingers.

It was lovely to see the tamariki sharing the space, exploring colour and texture, and expressing their creativity in their own ways. There were plenty of smiles, laughter and lots of messy fun along the way! 💛

Our nursery tamariki have been busy exploring our lock boxes!

They are discovering how the boxes open and close, experimenting with different locks, and developing their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination along the way. Most importantly, they are having lots of fun discovering what exciting surprises are hidden inside!

It’s wonderful to see their curiosity, concentration, and sense of discovery as they learn through hands-on exploration.

🎨✨ Today at preschool, our tamariki had fun experimenting with a different way of doing art, without using their hands! 🖌️

Using straws, they blew colourful dye across the page, watching with curiosity as the colours moved, spread, and created unique patterns. It was wonderful to see their excitement as they explored colour, movement, and creativity through this fun sensory experience 🖼

Learning About St John!

This week we were delighted to welcome Megan from St John to our preschool! Our tamariki loved sharing what they already knew and learning about how St John helps our community.

The biggest takeaway? Call 111 in an emergency!

Our tamariki were so proud of their new knowledge and couldn’t wait to share it with kaiako and whānau throughout the day!

A big thank you to Megan for such a fun and important visit! ❤️

Over the past couple of days, we’ve been capturing some beautiful moments of play, connection and learning in our nursery. 💛

Tamariki and kaiako reading books, exploring water play, interacting with provocations, and playing together and alongside one another.

We’ve seen tamariki creating music and growing in confidence as they move, explore and discover what their bodies can do. ✨

Today, our nursery tamariki enjoyed exploring paint in their own unique ways.

One child used a monster truck to drive through the paint, creating fun tracks and patterns across the paper 🚙 🎨. Another child used their fingers to move and spread the paint, enjoying the different textures and sensations. Our third little artist took sensory exploration to another level by using their hands to paint their face! 😄🖌️

It was wonderful to see each child expressing themselves, experimenting with the paint, and having fun in their own special way.✨

Many hands make light work!

Our nursery tamariki are busy exploring, creating, discovering, sharing, and learning together through hands-on play. The best learning often happens when we get stuck in, follow our curiosity, and have lots of fun along the way! 💛
