Kotahitanga Day!
On the 10th February 2015, we went to the hall to join Te Kotahitanga Day with other Kiwi students. It was very interesting because we got to sing Maori songs with all of them and I feel that the Maori songs are so lovely and they have good meanings. After we finished singing the songs we did some exercises in a booklet, we had learn about the Maori language. It was really challenging for me because I have no idea about the different places around New Zealand, therefore I didn't do that well. Even so I learned about Aoraki, Waitaki, Tarahaoa, Orari Te Tari A te Kaumira and Otipua which are interesting places in New Zealand. When we finished we received chocolate bars from the teachers, I gave mine to my kiwi friend because she helped me with the exercises in the booklet. It was a really great day, I really enjoyed it. Lastly, I have to say thank you to all the teachers and friends who invited me to this fantastic day!
