We had a great day on Saturday at the Open Day! Despite the weather we still managed to get some aircraft flying and had an awesome aerobatic display from the glider by Graham! If you didn’t manage to come and see us on Saturday don’t hesitate to message us to learn more about gliding and how you can get started!

Less than a week until the open day with South Canterbury Aero Club! Ideal for all ages, come and watch planes, glider and helicopters flying, enjoy a sausage from the BBQ and talk to the pilots!

OPEN DAY at the South Canterbury Aero Club! The South Canterbury Gliding Club will be there with a glider on display you can sit in and trial flights available!
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to go gliding this is the perfect opportunity to come along and find out more about what we do from our experienced glider pilots!

All Welcome!
Ground and Flying Displays, food and refreshments available. Trial and scenic flights on the day, raffles, pilots / instructor are around to answer any questions you have about learning to fly! Bring the kids and family for an awesome day out!

Guess some of us can relate to being towed around by your kids but this is next level - Can't get better for this dad and daughter dynamic duo!

Great weather on Sunday for the club to get out and do some gliding!
Hamish and Celine both went for a trial flight to experience the thrill of soaring in a glider - think their smiles say it all!

The fleet spent the first half of January in Omarama for the Youth Soaring Development Camp! This is a fantastic camp for teenagers and young adults to learn and develop their gliding skills!
The cub and gliders were kept busy everyday with fantastic soaring weather and flights continuing well into the evening!

Congratulations to club members Lachie and Holly who progressed into single seat gliders on this camp!
