A big thank you to Thompson Construction Engineering Precast Nathan Tubb, for taking our Trades Primer group around the work site and giving them some great first-hand experience. Your knowledge and willingness to share with our students was awesome and really appreciated!

The group were also lucky enough to have a look through the Theatre Royal work site with Hawkins Group. Thanks to Paul O’Connor for showing them around and sharing some great advice with the students.

Thanks so much to everyone involved in giving our students the opportunity to see what it’s really like out there in the industry. 👷🔨

Brian and Jackie had the privilege of attending the Waitaki Girls’ High School Careers Expo on Friday.
While chatting with prospective ākonga, past student Uinita spotted us and popped over to say hello.

Having studied with us in Timaru, she told us she always carries a little piece of Ara with her — proof that once you’re part of Ara, you’re always part of the Ara whānau.

It was fantastic to see Uinita again and hear how much her time with us has stayed with her. 💙

💜 We were proud to support HAVEN Mid-South Refuge by painting the town purple for their appeal month! 💜

A huge thank you to all our staff who joined us for our purple-themed morning tea, and to everyone who got involved by dressing up and showing their support. It was awesome to see so many people getting behind such an important cause!
