I keep seeing the same thing over and over, in my life and others: people exhausting themselves trying to force situations that won't fit, mainly in relationships and career.

Your birth chart has four specific markers that show exactly where you're wasting energy (Mars), why you keep hitting the same wall (Chiron), what structure you actually need (Saturn) and where to aim instead (North Node).

I developed this system for myself initially and also tested it on 30+ other people so far. They all said it gave them significant breakthrough clarity and understanding of specific situations, ways of being and why patterns kept repeating.

If you want to decode those 4 points in your chart, I've packaged it into The Purpose Key. https://thepurposekey.org/

When I look at my chart through the lens of neurodivergence, I am a textbook example of ADHD.

I have no Earth signs. No grounding. No natural structure. Routine feels like a cage.

I have a Sagittarius stellium. Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Neptune all in Sagittarius. My mind races. I jump from idea to idea. I get excited by novelty and lose interest when the novelty fades.

Mars in Pisces. My drive is fluid and inconsistent. Bursts of intense energy followed by inertia.

Moon in Cancer. Emotional sensitivity. Easily overwhelmed. Need for safety and comfort.

Aries Rising. Impulsive. Direct. Action-oriented. Hard to slow down.

Scorpio Sun in the 8th house. Intensity. All or nothing. Deep focus when interested. Total disconnection when not.

Uranus in Libra in the 7th house. Unconventional relationships. Need for freedom. Difficulty with routine commitments.

It shows up in my life like this.

Struggle with practical, repetitive tasks. Bills. Routine. Mundane work.

Work for hours on something that interests me. Writing. Studying. Creating.

Moved countries several times for relationships. Quit jobs. Started and stopped projects.

Feel things intensely. Overwhelm. Withdrawal.

Cannot stay in one place. I need movement, novelty, change.

Start strong, lose interest, move on. The engine runs out of steam.

But here is the good news.

Once you have confirmation of your strengths and weaknesses, you can start focusing on the areas that need improvement.

You can:

Discover work that suits your natural strengths instead of constantly swimming upstream.

Understand why the same relationship and career patterns keep repeating.

Stop fighting your nature and start working with it.

Gain a clearer sense of where to focus your time and energy next.

If this resonates and you want to go deeper, The Purpose Key is a tool I built to help you read your own map so you can stop trying harder without understanding what is actually holding you back.

With no earth in your birth chart, as in, not a single planet in Ta**us, Virgo or Capricorn, you probably struggle with 'practical' things.

For instance, you may have very little interest in machinery. You can look at a car engine and feel no curiosity, you don't care how it works, just as long as it moves the vehicle to get you from A to B.

Perhaps you don't drive a car? But you love to travel, providing someone else is driving and you can just gaze out the window at the world passing by, day dreaming - that's your happy place!

With a lot of fire, water and air in your chart, you might have moved house frequently too. Fire moves. Water flows. Air communicates. Earth stays.

9 to 5 feels like slow death. Not because you're lazy. Just not built for repetition. Not built for routine.

But you are deeply intuitive. You can walk into a room and feel the energy before anyone speaks. You can read people in ways that surprise them. You have visions. A sense of what is possible that most people don't have.

Seeing patterns in things. Connecting ideas that others do not see. Psychic flashes. A deep knowing that is often right.

You can see the big picture when others are stuck in the details.

These are not small things. They are gifts. But they are not practical gifts.

Here is the thing. When you have no earth, you spend a lot of time wondering why you are not like everyone else.

You look at other people. They seem to hold it together. They manage their finances. They stay in one place. One job.

And you think: What is wrong with me?

But nothing is wrong with you. You are just not earth. You are fire and water and air... You are not meant to be grounded in the same way. You are meant to move. To feel. To imagine. To create.

The doubt comes from comparing yourself to people who are wired differently. They are not better. They are just different.

But you do not need to become earth. You just need to stop expecting yourself to be.

Just get a bunch of earth people to handle the mundane stuff and you'll be sweet!

Most people think astrology is just about your star sign. They think if you are a Scorpio, that is all there is to you. But that is only part of the picture. In real astrology, very little of real substance can be said about anyone based on the sun sign alone.

That is why horoscopes are ultimately a gross commercialisation of a very refined and ancient tool for understanding life.

There are actually three foundational pieces of your birth chart that shape the basic framework of who you are. The Rising sign, the Sun sign, and the Moon sign. These are the three many people have heard of, but most people are only familiar with the Sun sign. Let me explain how they work.

The first is your Rising sign. This is the mask you wear. The energy you project when you first meet someone. It is your automatic response to the world. It is not fake. It is real. But it is not the deepest part of you.

The second is your Sun sign. This is your core identity. Your values. Your purpose. Your conscious sense of self. This is who you are when you are being yourself. It is the driver of your life.

The third is your Moon sign. This is your emotional truth. Your inner world. What you need to feel safe and nurtured. It is the part of you that shows in your habits, your reactions, and your quiet moments. It is the layer that comes out when you are not performing. It is the deepest part of you, and it often shows to people who are paying attention, even if you do not realise it.

Here is how it works for me.

My Rising sign is Aries. So when I enter a room, people see boldness, directness, and intensity. That is my entry energy. My armour. The way I protect myself.

My Sun sign is Scorpio. That is my core. Deep, intense, transformative. That is the part of me that sees through people and does not settle for surface-level.

My Moon sign is Cancer. That is my emotional truth. Sensitive, nurturing, caring. That is the part of me that feels things deeply and needs safety and connection. That is the part that shows in how I care for others and what I reach for when I need comfort. It is always there, even when I am not showing it.

So if you meet me for the first time, you see Aries. If you stay a little longer, you see Scorpio. And if you really pay attention, you see Cancer.

All three are real. They are just different layers of the same person. The Rising sign is the door. The Sun sign is the living room. The Moon sign is the heart of the home.

And that is just scratching the surface of astrology and your birth chart. There are many more moving parts and it is about how all the parts of you work together to make you who you are and the map of your life.

I used to think free will meant I could do anything I wanted. That if I just tried hard enough, I could make any life work. So I tried. A lot. And it never quite worked out.

Then I spent months in Mexico, broke, alone, with nothing working. No work. No money. Borrowing just to eat. I hit a wall so hard I could not see past it.

And then one day, a voice in my head said something very clear. You need to get the f**k out of here now. Not a suggestion. Not a thought I worked out. A clear instruction. So I listened. I got help. I left. I came home.

That is when I started to understand something.

There is a plan. A structure. A design. You can see it in your birth chart. The planets show the broad strokes of your life before you even arrive. The timing is already there. The blueprint is real.

But you also have free will. You can choose. You can fight the plan. You can ignore it. You can try to build something that is not there. And you will suffer.

Or you can use your free will to align with the plan. To move with it instead of against it. To say yes to what is actually unfolding. That is not giving up your freedom. That is using it wisely.

Most people get this backwards. They think free will means they can make anything happen. So they push and fight and resist. They call it determination. But it is just friction.

The real skill is learning to read the map and walk the path that is already there. Not because you have no choice. But because the choice that works is the one that fits.

My life proved it. I could not have built this new life two years ago. The timing was wrong. I had to go through the collapse. I had to hit bottom. I had to hear the voice and act on it. That was not random. That was the plan unfolding.

And now I am building something real. Not because I forced it. Because I finally stopped fighting and started paying attention.

The map is there. Your chart shows it. Free will is how you navigate it. The trick is learning how to move with the current instead of against it.

Once you see that, everything changes.

Van Gogh, Cobain, Cash, Prince, Ledger, Monroe. All had Mars in Pisces.

The artist who cuts their ear off. The musician who plays until their fingers bleed. The actor who disappears into the role until there is nothing left of themselves.

Mars is your drive. Your action. Your fight.

In Pisces, it doesn't fight head on. It fights by checking out.

You don't confront pain. You drink it away. Dream it away. Lose yourself in a relationship, a fantasy, a substance.

The shadow side is famous.

All knew the pull to oblivion.

All or nothing. No middle gear. One drink becomes ten. One fantasy becomes an obsession. One creative impulse becomes a masterpiece or a meltdown.

The dark side shows up as indirect aggression, paralyzing passivity, extreme escapism. No boundaries. Martyrdom. Relying on substances to numb reality.

But here is the part people don't talk about.

Mars in Pisces is not a curse. It is a raw nerve. When aimed right, it feels everything.

The same capacity for escape is a capacity for empathy. The ability to dissolve into a bottle is the same ability to dissolve into someone else's pain and actually feel it.

You cannot fix Mars in Pisces by trying to be normal. You will fail at normal.

You succeed by giving it a container. Music. Painting. Writing. Teaching. Healing. Building something that matters. Not because it is responsible. Because it is the only thing that matches the intensity.

Without an outlet, Mars in Pisces turns inward.

With an outlet, it becomes Van Gogh painting Starry Night. Johnny Cash singing Hurt. Someone who can sit with another person in their darkest moment and not flinch.

Your drive is not broken. It just needs a place to land that feels worthy.

Mars in Pisces still needs discipline. But it has to be discipline that feels like devotion, not punishment. A schedule won't save you. A purpose will.

Find the thing you love more than escape. Then do that thing every day.

Then maybe in a year's time, you'll realise you haven't sabotaged yourself once 🙂
