NEW! Moanataiari School Pumpkin Growing Competition! 🌱

We’re trying something new and can’t wait to see what our students can grow!

Our Moanataiari School Pumpkin Growing Competition is open to ALL students, with two categories to enter:

🎃 Largest Pumpkin
🦖 Best Dinosaur Gourd

Entry is $5 per category and includes your pumpkin or gourd seed (single seed) and our Giant Pumpkin Growing Guide to help you get started. You can enter both categories.

There are prizes up for grabs, and students will have plenty of time to nurture their plants before our official weigh-in and judging in Term 1, 2027.

🌱 Seeds are available now from the School Office.

A huge thank you to the Hinds-Haye family for kindly sponsoring our seeds and helping us get our very first competition underway.

We’ll share more information and growing tips along the way – for now, purchase your seeds and start germinating them🎃🌱



Some competition rules & more info:
- The pumpkin/gourd must be grown from the competition seeds supplied.
- Students/families must grow their own entry
- There will be a marking criteria for the best dinosaur gourd.

📢 Oxford Pie Orders Reminder! 🥧

Just a quick reminder that all Oxford Pie order forms and payments are due tomorrow (Friday, 28th August)! Please bring completed forms to the school office by tomorrow morning.

Reminder: we are taking orders tomorrow for Friday's hot lunch fundraiser.

Place orders at the kitchen window tomorrow morning (Thursday, 27th August). We will then shop based on the orders, so please ensure you order in the morning.

We will serve food on Friday at lunchtime.

Payment can be by cash or EFTPOS.

Our Junior Football season is nearly at an end, and we're wrapping it up with a Festival Day right here at Rhodes Park from 10 AM! 🎉

Bring the family along, support our young football stars, and soak up the community spirit 🌭🍦 Don't forget to bring some cash for the sausage sizzle and ice cream stand!
