🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ THAMES VALLEY CROSS COUNTRY – TUESDAY 1st SEPTEMBER 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

We have seven athletes heading to the Thames Valley Cross Country on Tuesday at South Farms, Mangatarata!

🚐 Runners need to be at school by 9:00am to leave together in the school van.

📍 Venue: South Farms, South Road, Mangatarata
Look for the sign approx 20m after turning onto South Rd.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parents and whānau are very welcome to come along and support our runners!

🏃 COURSE INFORMATION
• Cow paddocks – expect mud and cow pats! 🐄
• A shallow stream
• Rolling hills and undulating terrain
• A gravel section of approx 200m for 12 & 12+ athletes only

👟 FOOTWEAR
Athletes can run barefoot or in running shoes. Shoes should be securely taped if worn.

Barefoot 12 & 12+ runners are advised to wrap strapping tape around the balls of their feet for the gravel section.

🎒 ATHLETES NEED TO BRING
• Plenty of food and water
• A towel and change of clothes – they will get muddy!
• Taped running shoes (if worn), or strapping tape for barefoot runners

👀 SPECTATORS NEED TO BRING
• Gumboots – the ground will likely be muddy
• Portable seating, e.g. camp chairs
• Weather protection – umbrellas, raincoats, etc
• Please remain in designated spectator areas
• Spectators are not permitted on the course unless requested by organisers
• No food stalls will be available, but a coffee truck will be onsite for hot drinks ☕️

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Today's Cross Country Cluster! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

A huge congratulations to all of our students who took part. It was fantastic to see everyone giving it their absolute best, and we especially loved hearing the support and encouragement between the different schools. 👏

A special thank you to our parents who helped with marshalling, transport and support. 🙌

We are thrilled to announce that Damian, Pearce, Isla-Grace, Zander, Patrick, Avery and Eda have qualified for the Thames Valley Cross Country event at South Farms on Tuesday 1st September (save day: Thursday 3rd September).

An amazing achievement — we are so proud of you all! 🎉👏

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ CROSS COUNTRY CLUSTER – PARAWAI SCHOOL 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

📅 Monday 24 August

A reminder for all our Cross Country runners that ALL runners need to meet at our school at 8.45am.

This will allow time to:
👕 Receive their sports shirts
🏷️ Collect their nametags
🚌 Organise transport to Parawai School

We have 22 students travelling to Parawai, so it is important that everyone is at school on time.
