Well, this is a bit of a cool moment - past Moanataiari School students Ariel McNab, Jess Rendall and Lily McCarthy, with our current teacher Louise Hinds-Haye have been playing together in the Thames Women FC team.

They have had a remarkable season, becoming league champions, cup finalists, and a promotion to Division One for 2026.

Well done ladies - an inspiration to all!

🕖 Time: Doors open 7pm | Bingo starts 7.30pm
📍 Where: The Thames on Kirkwood
🎟️ Tickets: $35 (includes a free drink on arrival + 5 rounds of music bingo!)
💃 After the bingo, the DJ keeps the party going.

Just like traditional bingo—but with song titles instead of numbers!

🎵 Hear a snippet—got it? Mark it off!
🏆 First to complete a row yells “Beats by Bingo!” and wins a prize!

A beloved and well-missed figure has been formally welcomed back to Moanataiari School after years of deterioration.
May 7 saw the children of Moanataiari School come together for a ceremony celebrating their beloved Thomas the Tank Engine’s restoration and return to the playground. Work began in November, 2023, to repair the former TR-24 shunter engine, which had sunk into the ground and rusted away until it was too unsafe to play on.
