📣 Donate-a-Calf & Virtual Produce Fundraiser Update 🐄🌱

We’re excited to share that 18 calves headed to the Temuka sale last week, our biggest year yet! 🙌 Thank you to the 9 generous farms in our school community who made this possible.

A massive shout-out to everyone who helped bring this fundraiser together:
💚 Amie Griffiths (LIC) & Matt Gibbs (Datamars) for donating our green WRS tags
🚛 Phil Nimo & the Temuka Transport team for calf pick-ups
🐮 Nathan Hubbard & the PGG Wrightson team for handling logistics and sale support

We truly appreciate every farm that raised an extra calf (or three!) to support our school. Your generosity makes a real difference.

We wanted to give our Wi******er Rural School Community an update on another amazing 2024 sale for our Donate-a-Calf and Virtual Produce Fundraiser.

On Tuesday 12 colourful calves climbed aboard their Temuka Transport bus to begin their journey to their new homes, via the Temuka Saleyards.

Eight farms very generously donated 12 calves to the school: 6 giant Friesians and 6 strapping Beef cross calves🐄 🐮

We are hugely grateful for the generosity of these farms and another two farms who have given ‘virtual’ donations from the private sale of 3 animals directly to the PTA.

Thank you also to
Temuka Transport 1967 for their continued support of our school
PGG Wrightson Livestock Temuka for managing the sales, and
Livestock company LIC for again kindly donating the vibrant green school ear tags.

This has been another valuable fundraiser to help provide opportunities and resources for our school!
