Thank You for Celebrating 150 Years with Us!

Te Uku School would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to everyone who joined us on Friday and Saturday (17th-18th October) to celebrate our 150 year milestone with a Hoe Down, Official Reunion and School Gala Day.

What an incredible event it was - filled with laughter, memories, acts, delicious food, games and a wonderful sense of community. Saturday morning reunion was packed with fantastic performances, including our School Bands, Kapa Haka Group, and a school play that showcased the amazing talent of our students, past Principals sharing their time here, and ending with the Peart family cutting our cake as one of the 2 families who have been a part of Te Uku School throughout our schools history throughout the generations. What an achievement!

A special thank you to all the past students, staff and families who returned to share in the celebration - it was wonderful to reconnect and reflect on Te Uku’s rich history together.

And of course a massive thank you to all the volunteers, sponsors, and local businesses who contributed their time, energy, and generosity to make the day such a success. Your support continues the strong community spirit that has defined Te Uku for 150 years.

Here's to the next 150 years of learning, laughter and connection at Te Uku School.
