Our centre is off to a sunny fun start to the year with a trip to Pukehina Estuary. Look! Our kids can walk on water!! 😝Come along and check out our wee village of mums, dads and grandparents playing and learning with our tamariki ☀️💦🌿✨

We’re off to Julian’s Berry Farm for a trip this Wednesday, so please don’t try and visit the centre as it will be all locked up! But please do come pick berries with us 🥰🍇🍓 pm us for all the details if you’re keen 😎

In between the rain at Pongakawa Playcentre the kids spotted the bright red ripe strawberry patch overflowing with a delicious crop. What a scrumptious site. How lovely that Tiana who helped her Ma plant this years strawberry crop was able to harvest the first strawberries and there be enough to share with the whole Tuesday session! Together we picked, washed them and sat on the whanau picnic mat to enjoy eating them. “So sour” “I’ve got a big one” “So sweet and juicy” a lovely conversation about the taste and look of the strawberries.

Our centre is on a trip to Maketu on Tuesday 21st. We have many whanau visiting at the moment, so please join us. We will be meeting at the Maketu school carpark at 9:15-9:30am for a very short walk up a little slope to get a view of the area, enjoy morning tea, then head down to the water for a play in the sand - bringing togs/towels too is likely a good idea. Head home when suits, we’ll pack up the picnic mats after midday. Comment below if you might come so we know to look out for you 🥰

Found any treasures lately? Our tamariki always do! Bring your little ones (0-6yrs old) along to centre and see how our wee village works - you might just find your tribe of mummas, dads and grandparents who become lifelong friends. Oh, and our kids all have a good messy play too 😉
3 visits are free, open Tue and Wed 9- 12:30 🥰

We're off on a trip to a farm up Allport Rd on Tue this week - so if you're planning on visiting please message us for the address. We'd hate for you to get all ready and arrive at the centre beside Pongakawa school, only to find it's all locked up. Come join us all at the farm instead 🐄🐔
Wednesday session is at the centre like usual 🌼
