Yesterday LC5 had a trip to the Te Awamutu museum, a local park and the pools. The museum visit was part of their ‘Young Inventors’ inquiry. They got to look at different innovations and how they have changed over the years.  There were lots of hands-on activities and games for them to engage with. Following this they had a couple of fun stops. 🏊‍♂️ 🛝

Tonight we are holding an information session for families interested in what our Intermediate years look like at Te Kōwhai School. We welcome anyone interested to join us in LC6 from 6:00 - 6:45 pm (approx). Families and students welcome.

COLLABORATION CONCERT

TE KŌWHAI SCHOOL together with ST JOSEPH'S CATHOLIC SCHOOL

Performing at St Paul’s Collegiate School Chapel, TUESDAY 22nd September 2026 6:30 pm

This will be a wonderful evening celebrating the incredible music and cultural learning happening across both schools. Our students will come together to share kapa haka and choir performances, finishing with a special item involving all the students.

Now that the official wrap-up and final tallies are complete, we are thrilled to give our Sports Camp team the dedicated, standalone spotlight they have earned after taking out first place.

Photos and updates from the week were shared amongst the parents across the week on an ongoing basis; however, today we want to share a stand-alone post to celebrate their success. Bringing home the overall win for Te Kōwhai for the first time in years is far too big an achievement to simply be lumped into the Friday recap!

An accomplishment of this magnitude deserves a proper, focused celebration. Our team poured their hearts into every game, showing unbelievable grit, teamwork, and sportsmanship from start to finish to bring the overall win home.

To the parents, supporters, and volunteers who cheered them on: thank you for your incredible energy. We share your immense pride in these kids and could not be more thrilled to highlight their incredible victory last week.
