' I am overwhelmed by how powerful a shared purpose can be.' This was my thinking while being surrounded by our Board and my husband Les, reflecting on the lives changed—from our localised beginnings to nationwide reach.

When MFAL was established, the goal was simple yet profound: to ensure that financial hardship never stands in the way of a child’s mathematical confidence and future potential.

Being a founder is an extraordinary privilege, and carrying that title has been one of the greatest honours of my life.

Passing the baton is a bittersweet milestone, but leadership is ultimately about knowing when to let the next group of leaders carry the vision forward.

The foundation we have built together is solid, grounded in core values of equity, resilience, and community empowerment. I step down with complete trust in this Board's stewardship and vision to guide the Trust into its next phase.

I am immensely eager to see the fresh perspectives and new initiatives that lie ahead for MFAL. Though my role changes, my belief in our mission remains as strong as ever.

I cannot wait to watch from the sidelines as the Trust continues to build bright futures, empower families, and ignite a lifelong love of learning. Thank you to all the incredible people who have joined me along this journey, for your unwavering support and belief in this mission.
