Senior sports day is still going ahead today.
Fingers crossed the rain will hold out until we are finished. Bring a brolly just in case 🤓
If the weather completely packs up, events may be cut short.

Here's a friendly reminder that there are a couple of teacher only days coming up in the next few weeks.

This has been in home learning books and the newsletter, but we know it is easy to miss things when you are so busy on the farm, so figured a visual reminder would be good :)

There will be no bus running on these days. School will closed for instruction while teachers are undertaking some professional learning around the latest assessment and reporting requirements.

Last week was an awesome day for our junior tamariki. Let's make the senior one just as amazing! Any baked goods to be brought in on the morning please.

Our fingers are crossed for good weather, but if it is going to be postponed to the following Monday, we will let everyone know by 7:30am on Friday morning.

Whew… what an awesome day! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏅

A huge thank you to all of our amazing supporters, helpers and, of course, everyone who contributed delicious goodies to our bake sale. We are so lucky to have such a supportive community behind us! 💛

Today was filled with fun, games and plenty of action for our Junior Eastern Zone tamariki. One of the absolute highlights was seeing the wonderful sportsmanship on display. Our tamariki gave everything a go, encouraged one another, worked together and even made a few new friends along the way. We’re sure there will be some tired little people sleeping well tonight after such a big day! 😴

It also makes us incredibly proud to see the student leaders from each of our schools stepping up to help make the day such a success for their younger peers. Small rural schools like ours provide some pretty special opportunities for students to grow their confidence and leadership skills while helping others to succeed. 🌟

Thank you to everyone who helped make today such a positive and memorable experience for our tamariki.

Ka rawe, everyone! What a day! 💚

What do you do when you have a massive amount of avocados?

You make CHOCOLATE MOUSSE of course!

Our year 4-6 students tried out an interesting recipe and it’s safe to say they mastered not only the recipe, but also adding fractions together to work out how much of each ingredient’s we needed

4 groups needed 1/3 of a cup of maple syrup each, so how much did we need altogether?
They knew it was 4 thirds which is the same as 1 cup and 1/3. YUSSSS!!!! I love seeing them apply their learning in an authentic task.

The mousse was pretty good too ☺️
