Waipa Christian School is a state-integrated full primary school (5 to 13-year-old students) based in Te Awamutu, Waikato, New Zealand.

The vision for our school is to Know, Love and Serve Jesus Christ. Our Christian special character sets the direction for our local curriculum, culture, and all decisions we make. Our current roll cap is 104.

We would love to hear from New Zealand trained and registered teachers who are suitably qualified and experienced to teach students from New Entrant to Year 3 (5-7 year old). Training and proven experience with a structured literacy approach would be desirable (e.g. Better Start Literacy).

A full-time, or part-time option could be available to the right candidate.

Waipa Christian School is a state-integrated full primary school (5 to 13-year-old students) based in Te Awamutu, Waikato, New Zealand.

We will have a vacancy for a part-time (2 days per week) teacher from June 10th until the end of the 2024 school year. The successful applicant will be required to teach in 2 separate classes: Year 1 class - Fridays and Year 4 & 5 another day in the week. In both classes, the teacher would be expected to continue with the programme in collaboration with the classroom teacher.

We would love to hear from New Zealand registered teachers who are suitably qualified and experienced to teach students in the age bracket 5 - 10 years old. A working knowledge of Better Start Literacy, and Prime Mathematics would be an advantage.

Acting Principal

Waipa Christian School is a full primary, state-integrated school based in Te Awamutu, Waikato. Our current roll is 90, with a maximum roll of 104. Our Vision is to Know, Love, and Serve Jesus Christ.

Our principal will be on Sabbatical leave during term 2, 2024. We’re looking for an acting principal, who is able and willing to uphold the Christian Special Character of our school.

We give glory to God for His blessing of exceptional roll growth this year. This growth has been mostly in our junior classes (5-7 year old students). Applying candidates should ideally have experience teaching at this level. However, we’d be interested to hear from experienced teachers who meet our Special Character requirements and can demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills.
