I popped in to our Monday Drama Club classes today and I was impressed!

I saw our students being kind, including others, and letting out their inner weirdo.

Today I am celebrating Teva 🙌

Teva is one of our vibrant and caring Drama Club tutors who has many hidden talents.
Teva has vast knowledge with stage performance and technologies. She is a whizz backstage and such a natural on the stage too!
Her quick wit and gentle approach to learning was what attracted me to employing her as a Drama Club tutor. When I employ staff, I carefully consider how they will approach all of our learners. Can they ease anxiety? Do they know how to make students feel excited to act and participate? Teva certainly does!

I absolutely love the way Teva is with children. She guides them through encouragement and let's them go at the pace that feels right for them.

Teva is a confident and knowledgeable tutor and I am appreciative that she is working at Tovah's Tutoring. 🙌

I'd like to celebrate Aron today.

When I was choosing my staff, I made sure they were packed with ingredients similar to me.

Aron is a wonderful role model and creative being. He spends the time making sure his students are heard, feel safe, and are having fun. He notices when students are anxious, shy and takes care to nurture their learning.

When I first met Aron, I spotted him at a holiday programme and saw the magic he has with boys. I saw that he built amazing connections with them. I knew in that moment that he'd be the perfect person to lead Drama Clubs with us at Tovah's Tutoring. And I wasn't wrong, look at this beautiful moment he had with Thomas today. Thomas has been feeling vulnerable lately, navigating many changes in his life. But when he's with Aron, who has taken the time to gently approach Thomas and his learning, the magic happened once more!

All of my tutors are hand picked by me and are people who, like me, know how to ease anxiety and boost confidence.

Thank you Aron for being an awesome member of our team. I value you and what you do.

We are now running our Drama Club from 6-7pm on Wednesdays. Our classes are now only $5 as we move into a club based format.

I wanted to share a few thoughts on what makes helping students so rewarding for me.

1. Confidence

I absolutely love seeing their confidence grow. It's amazing to witness that "aha!" moment when they grasp a concept under my care.

2. The Journey

Being a part of their learning journey is incredibly fulfilling. I enjoy finding different ways that are relevant and engaging to increase the student's enthusiasm and understanding. That moment when they realise they can do it on their own is why I loooove my job so much.

3. Sharing a love for learning

Nothing beats seeing students genuinely enjoy the subject matter itself. When they start to find it interesting, it's the best feeling. It makes all the effort worthwhile.
