🌳 Looking for fruit trees or shelter trees this winter? 🌳

If you're planning to plant this season, we highly recommend supporting Advance Tree Ltd. We've sourced trees from them over the years and are always happy to support another great local nursery.

Their annual tree sale kicks off this Saturday (1st August) and there'll be a fantastic selection of trees available.

❌ MYTH: The harder you prune, the more fruit you'll get.

✅ FACT: More pruning doesn't always mean more fruit!

Fruit trees need balanced pruning. Removing too much at once can:
🌿 Trigger lots of vigorous leafy growth
🍎 Reduce next season's fruit production
☀️ Expose branches to sunburn
🌳 Stress the tree unnecessarily

The goal isn't to remove as much as possible—it's to remove the right branches. Good pruning creates an open, healthy tree that has the perfect balance between new growth and fruit production.
