We had a great ruck this afternoon just before the rain set in.
Six of us headed off and we picked up two more on the way in.
The Domain to Tui Road track was a great challenge and the river crossings were in full force.
We live in a beautiful part of the world.

The weather has been fine, the bush is dry! Finally we can getting a decent length ruck.
Today we will ruck the Domain to Tui Road track. The track is approximately 8km there and back with a steep incline of about 200m in the middle. The track is well maintained, consists of several river crossings and is well marked.
Packs or vests are suggested to be light (10/5kg) and the weight could be assorted drink bottles and togs and towel fornthe swim to follow back at the hot pools.
We will leave half an hour earlier due to the length of this walk, taking anywhere from 60 to 90 minutes.

Another Ruck Club ruck done and dusted on Sunday. A 50% bodyweight carry was on the menu. The Upper Domain Loop was just enough (1.5km distance) with the first portion being the hill climb to the blue marker turnoff.
Such a great, low impact way to spike the heart rate, and build lean muscle through carrying load in the beautiful Te Aroha bush.
If you havent tried Rucking yet, join us every Sunday at 4pm. Hosted by CrossFit HWPO, all you need is a back pack and some walking shoes.
