Pukeko Preschool in Tauwhare Opening Hours: Monday to Friday 7.30am - 5.30pm. Choose from our 2 main sessions: 8.45am - 3.15pm or 7.30am-5.30pm.

Pukeko Preschool offers a unique opportunity for children to experience a quality early childhood education in an idyllic rural setting. We are a community-led, licensed Early Childhood Centre. Nestled in the grounds of Tauwhare Primary School, our small preschool with a big heart provides a solid start to your child's education. We are dedicated to providing a variety of stimulating, challenging

and exciting play experiences and activities in a well-resourced centre which supports your child in developing to their full potential.

Our tamariki in the over-twos absolutely love reading! Whether it’s during mat time or in those spontaneous moments throughout the day, whenever a kaiako picks up a pukapuka, you can almost guarantee a group of tamariki will gather around, ready to listen, explore and enjoy the story together. It’s wonderful to see their genuine love for books and the way reading naturally brings our tamariki together! 📚
