A massive shoutout to our brave clippers for a cause! 💇‍♀️✂️🧡

Today at lunchtime, the hall was absolutely packed as our school community gathered to support four incredible individuals for Shave for a Cure!

A huge thank you and congratulations to Ms Blythe, Whaea Lucy, Ms McMillan, and Year 13 student Zoey Fryer. It takes an immense amount of courage to step up and part with your hair in front of the whole school, and we are so incredibly proud of your selfless efforts to raise vital funds and awareness for Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand.

The energy in the hall was amazing! Thank you to everyone who came along to cheer them on.

Keeping it cozy for Taha Whānau! 🧸🍿

Yesterday, our school traded in the uniforms for oodies, onesies, and our favourite PJs as we celebrated Pyjama Day!

As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, Thursday’s focus was all about Taha Whānau (social well-being). Taha Whānau is about our connections, our support networks, and feeling like we belong.

To build that community spirit and spend some quality time together, a huge group of students gathered in the school hall at lunchtime to watch a movie. What better way to connect and share some smiles than by getting cozy in our PJs and enjoying a great film with friends?

It was absolutely awesome to see everyone looking so comfortable and sharing laughs around the school. A huge thank you to everyone who joined in and helped make our TGC community feel like one big whānau! 💛✨

Taking a moment to pause, create, and connect! 🌸✨

As we continue to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week at TGC, Wednesday’s focus was all about Taha Wairua (spiritual well-being).

To practice mindfulness, our ākonga spent lunchtime getting creative with beautiful chalk drawings outside Pūwhenua and relaxing indoors with some mindful coloring. Taking a quiet moment out of a busy school day to ground ourselves, express creativity, and simply breathe is so incredibly important for our overall hauora.
