The 2024 version of the HGNZ Nationals was held in Tauranga on the 8th of September. The tournament was a nice relaxed martial arts experience with some visitors from Australia helping to boost the number of competitors.
After the tournament a grading was held for the 2nd Gumdo practitioners.
A successful day.

Day 2 of the Leaders course.
Today we have been working on the less tradiional aspects of Haidong Gumdo - sparring, papercutting and "exploring the hitting of ping pngs balls". All these skill drills are designed to improve body positioning, spatial movement, awareness, and hand-eye co-ordination.
