🐝 Happy International Bee Day! 🐝

On Wednesday we celebrated International Bee Day and spent time learning about the importance of bees in our environment. Bees are some of nature’s most important pollinators, helping flowers, plants, fruits and vegetables grow and thrive. Without bees, our world would look very different!

At Busy Bees, we value and nurture our tamariki just as bees nurture and support the world around them. Much like a beehive working together with care, communication and connection, our learning community thrives when everyone has an important role to play.

Through conversations, art, sensory experiences and exploration, our tamariki discovered how bees help our planet and why it is important to care for all living things. These experiences help foster curiosity, respect for nature and an understanding of kaitiakitanga — caring for our world and each other. 🌼

We loved celebrating these tiny but mighty creatures together! 💛🐝
