Our amazing PTA put on a very glamorous ties, tutus and tiaras disco for our tamariki last Thursday.

Raising kids today isn't easy, and let's be honest — there's no shortage of advice out there. But some of the best expertise on supporting your child is closer than you think ... right here at Greenpark School.

Our staff bring qualifications and real-world experience in human development, cognitive psychology, ESOL, learning support, teaching, and leadership — plus something you can't get from a textbook, many of our teachers have raised their own children through every age and stage, and lived to tell the tale!

We're hosting a fun, informal event with four bite-sized 15-minute sessions covering the topics you want to know more about — but we need your help to choose them. Take two minutes to complete our short survey and let us know what you'd find most useful.

The more parents who respond, the better we can tailor the event to what really matters to our community. We can't wait to share what we know — and can learn from you too!

TAURANGA INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL OPEN EVENING
For all Year 6 students and whānau and will be held on Thursday, 27 August, from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm.

A massive shoutout to our Greenpark Rangers who claimed 1st place in the Freshman Year 1–4 section at the Bay of Plenty Strictly Jump Jam competition! All that hard work and commitment certainly paid off.

Thank you to Miss Johnson, Miss Valentine and to all the whānau that came along to support.

A huge thank you for getting your tamariki to school every day. We know parenting isn't always easy, but making attendance a non-negotiable family habit is one of the greatest gifts you can give your child. The habits they build today will help shape their confidence, learning, and future success.

A little preparation the night before makes mornings calmer and helps every child arrive at school ready to learn.

Here are some ways to make that habit easier:
-Pack bag the night before
-Get uniforms organised
-Prepare food for tomorrow
-Aim for an early bedtime
-Build excitement for school

Term three in the depths of winter can be tough, but we can be even better than term two. Kia kaha! 💚

TRAFFIC NOTICE FOR TUESDAY 28 JULY:

We have been advised by Fulton Hogan that next Tuesday 28 July from 6am-6pm Tyrone Street will be closed for resurfacing and repairs. Carlisle Street and Argyll Road will be operating under Stop/Go traffic management.

Our Morland Fox walking bus will still go ahead, they will re-route and instead go straight down Argyll and turn down Carlisle Street and then continue on to Morland Fox Park. There may be limited parking.

We’re pleased to let our school community know that a 30km/h speed limit is now in place outside our school during drop-off and pick-up times.



This change will help keep our tamariki, whānau and staff safer at our busiest times of day. Slower speeds mean drivers have more time to react and reduce the risk of serious harm.

👉 Being patient around crossings

COMMUNITY NOTICE: Message for Ngāi Tahu in Tauranga Moana

Ngāi Tahu ki Tauranga Moana is the taurahere rōpū for Ngāi Tahu whānau living in the Tauranga Moana takiwā. Taurahere means a binding rope, and we hold each other and our iwi together across the distance. A rope is strongest when every strand is held, so whether your rope is taut or you are reaching for it again or for the first time, there is a place for you here.
